How do I delete my account?

  • In the OpenMic AI app: Go to Settings → Delete Account and confirm. This permanently deletes your account, call recordings, and transcripts.
  • If you experience issues, you may also request deletion by emailing delete@openmic.ai.

How do I review or delete specific call recordings?

  • In the app: Go to History → Calls → Select Call → Delete.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

  • Subscriptions are billed through Apple and verified by RevenueCat.
  • On iOS: Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions → OpenMic AI.

How do I disable call forwarding?

  • AT&T: Dial #21#
  • Verizon: Dial *73
  • Other carriers: Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding → Clear number

About Us

Better Financial Corporation (“we,” “our,” “us”) develops and provides OpenMic AI (the “App”), an AI-powered voice assistant that connects to your business, learns from your website or uploaded materials, and answers calls on your behalf.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information:

  • Account Data: Name, email, and hashed password when you create an account.
  • Business Data: Business website URL, FAQs, or documents you upload.
  • User Content: Voice inputs, call recordings, and transcripts. These are always saved so you can review past calls.
  • Call Metadata: Call duration, timestamps, caller ID.
  • Purchases (RevenueCat): Subscription identifiers, status, renewal dates, locale/currency.
  • Device & Technical Data: Device model, operating system, app version, crash logs.
  • Usage Data: Screens viewed, features used, session time.
  • Connection Data: IP address, network provider.
  • Contact List Data (Optional): Contact names and hashed phone numbers, but only if you grant permission in iOS settings to display caller names.

We do not collect payment card numbers (Apple processes billing), precise location, or health data.

How We Use Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To configure and train your AI assistant.
  • To handle calls, create transcripts, and save call history.
  • To process AI queries through OpenAI.
  • To manage subscriptions and entitlements through RevenueCat.
  • To troubleshoot, prevent fraud, and ensure security.
  • To improve app stability and performance.
  • To provide customer support.
  • To comply with legal obligations.
  • To display caller names from your contacts (only if you grant permission).

Who We Share Data With

We only share information with trusted service providers:

  • Apple In-App Purchases – billing
  • RevenueCat – subscription verification
  • OpenAI – AI model inference (voice/text processing)
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – hosting and storage of recordings, transcripts, and business data
  • VoIP Providers (if used) – call routing

These providers are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services on our behalf.

Data Retention

  • Call recordings & transcripts: Retained indefinitely so you can review them, unless you delete them or delete your account.
  • Account & business data: Retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of closure (backups may last up to 90 days).
  • Purchases (RevenueCat): Retained as needed for subscription integrity and fraud prevention.
  • Diagnostics & usage data: Retained for 90 days–12 months, then anonymized.

We ensure that no user data is lost. All recordings, transcripts, and business content are securely stored on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with redundancy and backup safeguards in place, and remain available to you until you choose to delete them.

Security

We protect your data using:

  • TLS encryption in transit
  • Encryption at rest (via GCP)
  • Access controls and monitoring
  • Redundant storage to ensure durability and prevent data loss

While no system is 100% secure, we take steps to ensure that your information is both protected and durably retained.

No Sale of Data

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Cross-Border Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States or other regions where GCP, OpenAI, or our providers operate. For EU/UK users, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us at privacy@openmic.ai.

Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your data
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Request a copy of your data (portability)
  • Withdraw consent (for marketing or optional features like contact access)
